Nox Player Optimization Guide – V2024
How to improve optimization tasks and performance in Nox Player
1. Nox Player Optimization
Nox Player has the best gaming performance and many user-friendly features, so the app player itself is on the heavy side. Therefore, optimization is essential to use fewer resources and increase speed.
1-1. App player settings
Click Nox Settings at the top right for optimization.
1-2. Performance settings
Performance settings can be changed to settings that suit your PC.
- Performance and graphics: If your PC doesn’t stutter when running the game, set it to 4 Core CPU. If you have a low-end PC, set it to 2 Core.
- Resolution: Ideally, the resolution should be the same resolution as your PC. If the game is stuttering or the screen is strange, you can fix it by changing the resolution.
1-3. Game settings
These are settings that directly affect the game.
- Frame: 60FPS is recommended as the default frame setting, but on high-end PCs, you can set the high-speed frame mode of 120FPS. Unless it is a high-performance game, 30 to 60 FPS is appropriate.
- Mouse Acceleration: You can turn mouse acceleration off or on when playing a shooting game.
- ASTC Textures: When enabled, you can have higher graphics quality. If you feel uncomfortable with settings that are too high, it is a good option to disable.
1-4. Process priority
Launch Task Manager (shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Esc). More – Set the priority of the Nox.exe program to high.
2. Update graphics drivers
Emulators that make heavy use of your graphics card can see very significant performance improvements just by updating their drivers. You can update by referring to the update link for each graphics card manufacturer.
